I saw an article (from 2 years! )about an exhibition organized by the Fashion and Textile Museum in London. It was a Fashion Horrocks retrospective. I must admit that I had never heard of this house created in the late 40's in Britain (At a time where cotton industry was in full swing in England) and has clearly influenced the fashion of the 50s. The fabric used for dresses are just to swoon and the dresses themselves are just divine. They have a taste of Hollywood, a very cinematic style. I'm madly in that "French Riviera" feeling!
Apparently, in Britain and the U.S., it is still possible to find the real thing ... It's a dream for you, US & GB Gals ... or even on Ebay for those of us who the eye!...
While waiting to go, I googled "Horrockses Fashions" and I totally fell in love with beautiful images of their collections. I plead guilty : I found there many of my inspiration for the next summer dresses I will want to sew!
