When I was a student in fashion school, I learned the rules of the art of fashion illustration. Some designers don’t like this activity but I was always motivated by fashion design. With a simple illustration you are able to provide information on the shape of the garment that has been imagined but also its volume, its "falling" but also about the mood of the collection.
What strikes me is how fashion illustration has evolved for decades. The line itself has evolved enormously, the illustration was originally made to replace the photograph, and you had to be realistic but not too much! In 2011, it became an art in itself, merely a representation of a collection of trends, but also a work that can be displayed on the wall of a living-room. Just like amylee, a great artist which work, I really enjoy .
I made of Illustration a part of my job, as a freelance of course, but I am still totally impresses by illustrators/designers. Basically, they are the ones I get my passion from!
